咖啡呀唔該 — Coffee Please

The brand’s drip-coffee range introduced beans from different origins, selected through tasting, blending and roasting. The wordmark brings together recurring 口 forms within the five characters, interpreting them as coffee beans and interlocking links. Their connection refers to the combination of origins and flavours.

Coffee passes through a series of processes before reaching the cup. The owner selected and blended beans to develop a particular taste, and the lettering responds through details at the stroke endings that recall the flames of roasting. The intention was to express the brand’s involvement in that process.

The client asked to retain the existing portrait symbol. To relate it to the new lettering, I added a circular frame with contrasting weights and let part of the image extend outside it, bringing a playful quality to the identity.
